She practises in civil litigation, including commercial, professional liability, insurance coverage, and regulatory matters. She represents professionals, insurers, and regulatory bodies, and is known for her steady approach to managing demanding files and advancing work efficiently.

Her work spans multi-party commercial proceedings, negligence claims, and professional discipline hearings. She has been closely involved in a large, multi-year dispute arising from public-private partnership (3P) projects, involving contractual interpretation, fiduciary duties, and financial instruments. She also regularly appears for regulatory colleges in disciplinary proceedings, including hearings involving multiple complainants, expert evidence, and novel issues.

Katrina’s practice includes both plaintiff-side solicitor claims and defence work for accounting professionals. She has achieved favourable outcomes in contested proceedings, including resolving claims during hearing where liability issues became clear. She also advises insurers on coverage disputes, which frequently settle through mediation.

Katrina appears before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and in contested chambers applications, and has experience before administrative tribunals, including discipline committees under the Health Professions Act (HPA). Earlier in her career, she clerked for two justices of the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
